I really want a driverless car. I’ve never been much of a car guy. I drive a 2006 Honda Accord with 100K+ miles. I’m actually not really sure how many miles it has because I don’t pay that close of attention. See, not a car guy. I just want a reliable and inexpensive way to get from Point A to Point B.

Me with headphones, presumably listening to a podcast. (I’m totally going to start ripping off Paul Singh’s style of posting pictures of himself doing mundane things only slightly related to his post. For example, here he is checking his email.)

So why do I want a fancy driverless car? Because I don’t want to have to think about driving. People say not to be distracted by texting while driving. I think the driving is the distraction from my texting. But until I get my driverless car, I fill any drive time by listening to podcasts. Here are two of my favorites in each category I have.

Start of the day: These daily podcasts are the first up on the first drive of the day.

Learn: this is my junk drawer of informative podcasts

Investing: these two have been the most helpful in getting familiar with this new investing world I inhabit.

Tech: trying hard to remain current with the basic software development and tech business issues

Kids: when my kids are in the car they prefer these to dad’s boring stuff

If you’ve got an iPhone, download Overcast to speed up the listen speed as fast as you can stand it.
